About Frauke Decoodt

Frauke Decoodt writes about people and their stories. Her features question the status quo. She writes about violence and injustice but also about the hopeful initiatives and struggles for change. Her topics are social movements, indigenous struggles, women’s and LGTBI+ rights, migration and Latin America.

Frauke lived two years in Guatemala and a year and a half in Honduras.  She often travels back to the region. She worked for human rights organizations, has a Masters in the anthropology of violence and a postgraduate in research journalism.  Her big passion is journalism, text and photography, committed to social justice.
